The Clinical Educator is under the direct supervision of the Director of Employee Education and Training. She/ he will function as a clinical and content expert. The Clinical Educator will serve as a role model for others. He/ she will provide education tools to assist Nurses and Nurses’ Aides to perform their duties in a safe and cost effective manner, while promoting customer satisfaction.



  • Actively promotes quality care within the institution.
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively with management and physicians to identify education needs.
  • Assesses hospital wide training needs and develops continuing education programs to meet those needs.
  • Prepares in-services for staff and participates in hospital education and staff development programs.
  • Participates in curriculum and course development for Annual Training.
  • Participates in curriculum, course development, and serves as lead instructor for M*A*S*H Program.
  • Assists departments with establishment and evaluation of competencies.
  • Serves as lead in development and facilitation of skills fairs.
  • Serves as a Nurse Planner for Midwest Multistate Division.
  • Participates in NARMC committees and teams as appropriate.
  • Assist the Student Coordinator in facilitating student orientations.
  • Assist the AHA Instructor and the CTC Coordinator in facilitating the success of the NARMC AHA CTC.







MSN, Training/ experience in adult education/ learning methodologies


5 years nursing experience in an acute care setting

At least 1 year as charge nurse

Adult education teaching experience

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

Current RN Licensure in good standing with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing

Current AHA BLS and ACLS provider cards

Current AHA PALS provider card

Current AHA Instructor status in at least one discipline

TNCC provider card

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to communicate professionally in written and oral form across all levels of the institution

Strong computer skills

Great customer service skills

Willingness to become a member of the team

Able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and/ or weekends

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Experience with Meditech PCS, and CareLearning
