Overview

Responsible for developing, presenting, and evaluating general and clinical training and education programs, including nursing education.  Directs the analysis, program format, training materials, and program implementation.  Provide expert consultation, analysis, facilitation, research and project management in all areas related to the education, training and development of employees and other students.

 

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  This position requires extended hours and flexibility commensurate with a professional managerial role.

Responsibilities

Develop an education, training, and development model and determine the education, training and development needs that link directly to organizational clinical, safety, quality, and other business goals and objectives. 
 

Collaborate with senior leaders and other related parties to develop guiding principles, strategies and plans; conduct comprehensive needs assessments; determine education, training and development priorities based on assessed needs, business impact and available resources.


Coordinate existing training programs and provide consultation to managers for development of job-specific training. 

 
Design, conduct and/or broker the delivery of training programs from a variety of resources; research, evaluate and select outside consultants and trainers to meet training needs as appropriate. 
 

Prepare budgets and develop the administrative framework required to support education, training, and development programs and initiatives; formulate policies, procedures and schedules to support education and training operations and initiatives. 

 
Develop methods, procedures and systems to support learning initiatives and records maintenance; evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training and development programs. 

 
Coach Managers and employees with regard to career development strategies and techniques. 

 
Oversee and ensure compliance and quality programs through NARMC’s Community Training Center.
 

Oversee and coordinate various student and clinical rotations at NARMC.


Participate and/or lead various committees associated with performance improvement, quality, orientation, and other initiatives.


Collaborate with and assist Human Resources and Managers in all aspects of NARMC’s Tuition Assistance Program including, but not limited to, program administration, communication, tracking, reporting and evaluation.


Conduct research, collect data and write reports to support the timeliness, accuracy and quality of business decisions.


Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications

 

Required

Preferred

Education:

Work requires completion of a Bachelor’s degree. Adult education, Nursing, or related field.

Master’s degree

Experience:

Work requires a minimum of five years of experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of business-related education, adult training, and/or development programs preferably in a medical / clinical setting.

Managerial experience is preferred. Experience in a medical / clinical setting

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

See above Education and Experience requirements. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact with individuals of all levels of education and ability.  Must read, write, speak and understand English.  Must have excellent customer service skills.
